I thought I'd lost my parents forever

When I was 7 years old went to picnic with my dad and mom on one Sunday.

It was near a waterfall near my home town in Wyoming. We got there in the morning around 9. It was really superb with all the birds, scenery and people. Slowly the number of people visiting there began to swell in large numbers.

But I hadn't stopped enjoying the scenery and all the people milling around. The weather changed rapidly from sunny to breezy with drizzling rain. Now I was surrounded by a large number of people and their families, umbrellas up trying not to get wet.

Suddenly I felt that I missed my dad and mom. I don't know what to do and started to weep. People who were standing nearby asked "where is your mother and father?"

I didn't know what to say and keep on crying. I started to move from there to some other place nearby to search for them. I looked around for a long time without finding them. My throat started to hurt because of crying so much and I thought I had lost my mom and dad forever.

Suddenly I saw two people sitting in a bench who looked like my parents. I ran across and got even more dismayed to find they were not my parents.

Then hands clasp my shoulder firmly and I just knew it was my mom. At last I found my mom, but the truth is, they found me! "I'm sorry Mom, I won't go off again!"
