Softly Into the Night
by Kaylee
(LaFaire)
Whimpers and grunts heard in the night I stumbled to him, groggy, without sight
Offered his binky, he just shook his head, Eyes shiny with tears with a hint of red
I scooped him up all warm in my arms, just a tiny bundle, safe now from harm
No scary monsters, I've turned them away Peaceful night now will soon turn to day
A silent thrill fills my heart overflowing with love with this little start
The start of my life, living through his each day cuddling all night, I wish this would stay
